I'm just back from the Clubhouse in les Pâquis and I never experienced such a bad service. Being pushed away from a table in front of the screen 5 min before the game when all other tables are not free anymore (they asked me and my friends (7) to move to put 3 of the owner's friend). What's the point of being 45 min in advance! Paying 15 CHF for a bottle of water (a small one) and when you complain, the only thing you hear is a sorry that means "I do not give a shit"
So won't go there anymore and that's a shame as it's the only non smoking pub in town.

"Hi,
I am very sorry to see that you had a bad expreience in our pub yesterday. Service and the comfort of our customers is of paramount importance and something we take seriously.
A couple of points on your posting and yesterday.
Our mineral water (.5 ltr) costs chf 5.5 which is in line with our competition and I feel cofortable with as not ripping anyone off. As I understand it there was a misunderstanding regarding the note which you paid with. We had no 10 franc notes in our till all morning (there seems to be a shortage in Geneva) so my staff were adament that you paid with a 10 franc note as it was the first one to appear in the till when you came to the bar. Both staff who were working the bar confirmed this was the case and as i understand it, explained this to you.
Regaring the sofas. We do reserve 2 or 3 of the couches and tables on request on certain occasions with a guaranteed minimum spend. The sofa at the front was reserved although it the reserve sign may have fallen off the table, which was why i asked you to move 20 (not 5) minutes before the start of the game. Whether these people were my friends or not is irrelevant. There were still other places at this stage to sit 7 comfortably albeit not on a sofa.
I regret both these incidents and hope that you will return to the pub and have a better experience next time.
Best regards
Iain"

It's a shame that this b***s**t bad review comes up when you google "clubhouse geneva" - it's a great place and the original poster's feedback was completely unfair and seemingly untrue.

I usually reserve for friends if there is a game we wanna see and then no one can tell you nothing! Just reserve a table in advance next time! It's true that the front tables are usually reserved -- for someone who planned in advance.
I spent the whole Euro Cup in June there, literally became like home. The bar tenders are super friendly and the prices are prolly the lowest you can find.
I love the place, sorry you had such a bummer experience.

Why so much interest all of a sudden in a post from 2009?
