Commuting from Commugny to World Health Organization

Hello,

I am new to Geneva and will be staying in Commugny for the summer, commuting to the World Health Organization. Thinking of biking or taking the train. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks so much!

My colleague lives in Chavannes-de-Bogis and bikes or takes the train to the UN. He has further than you (and more uphill), but seems to be happy with his commute. If the summer will finally arrive, biking is of course the nicest way of commuting.

Hi Jamie,

Commugny is a great location. You are located very close to the Coppet train station, a quick bus or bike ride. Coppet is maybe 10 minutes to Geneva by train.

I would suggest getting train passes with the SBB / CFF. They have several options depending on how inclusive of a pass you would like and for how long. I like having the Swiss Pass. They offer the same coverage in a shorter term passes as well.

Having a more inclusive pass allows you to take most all of the trains, busses, trams and boats in Switzerland anytme. That can make for very fun day trips during your off time and you have a port right in Coppet to hop on the CGN boats anytime you want. Not only that, you only need to carry one pass and you are good for all of your transportation. It makes it super easy to get to know the surroundings and explore further.

They offer several options, depending on your needs.
