Contesting Rent Increases
May 10, 2006 @ 13:30
My Landlord has offered to renew my contract but has also increased the rent. There is no explanation why.
Is there an organisation that can arbitrate and decide what is a fair rent? Has anyone any experience of such a problem?
Should I sign the contract and then move to a dispute. Or should I dispute and not sign the contract?

member Boubou, who had a problem with her landlord. Not exactly the same, but similar enough that she may have some insight.
