I am new to Geneva and am looking to meet people a few times a month to knit, crochet, etc, and drink wine and chat. Any suggestions on where to look? I went to my local yarn store and the owner does not speak English so I can't ask her.

But you could ask if she will put up a notice near the cash desk for you.
You could also ask the “Mairie” if they know of a local group.
Also, have you checked the glocals “Groups” tab?

You can also try Meetup.com
They have a huge range of activities. I registered in an excellent Wood Workshop where you build stuff and use power tools.
Be sure to enter Geneva Switzerland in your search as there are various other Genevas (in the US for example).
