Croix-de-Rozon, anything know anything about?
Hi!,

I have been looking for a new job in the Lausanne area, but was willing for Geneva. I have lived in Lausanne and Vevey, but I was offered a job in Croix-de-Rozon. I know absolutely nothing about it.  Just thats its near France and about 20 minutes from Geneva center?  I am curious to know if anyone has an opinion or knows anything about it.  I really do not want to live somehwere sorrounded by cows and sheep with nothing to do and no public transport. So if this is the case, please warn me =)

Thanks so much!:P

Croix de Rozon : One café, two gas stations, 2 customs posts, 1 bus line with 1 bus every 30 minutes or so for a 10 minutes ride to Carouge (less on week-ends), 20 minutes by bike -- much less than any commuting time in London or New-York...

It's a nice and quiet place with cows and sheep but you definitely need a car if you want to get to more exciting places.

Thank you,

That sounds awful.  I thought Vevey was boring!

In a way, Vevey is worse... It's far from a decent center, whereas Croix-de-Rozon is close to Carouge and downtown Geneva (providing that downtown is meaningful for a city of 300'000!) That's better than Meyrin or any suburb in London or Paris. And that's close to Landecy where there is a second café :-)
