Desmond Toto Inspiration Speech
Last Saturday I attended a speech by Desmond Toto. I won't go into all the stuff he spoke of, but just into hos closing story, which I liked a lot. I adapt it here a bit (quite a bit actually) from the original story, for simplicity:

A guy raised chickens. One day he saw that one of his chickens looked a bit different than the other chickens, and it kept trying to fly up.

The village elder came to see the strange chicken, and said to the man: "That's a strange one indeed. It doesn't know that chickens can't fly. Give it to me and I will teach it a lesson."

The village elder took the strange chicken to the mountain top, and there he let the chicken go. To his surprise to chicken spread its wings, and flew up and away. Only then did the elder realize it was an eagle all along, not a chicken.

Desmond Toto used this story to draw his main point: we can all choose to be chickens, or eagles. Those who choose to be eagles should draw their wings and fly, no matter what others say.

That's it for my inspirational story of the day...

Thank you Nir. This is great.

I choose to be an eagle this week.

By the way.....Is it Desmond Toto or Tutu?
