Gurus, in a wide sense of the word, can be found in the East and West, as well as they can be religious or non religious.
I found this video by Tim Minchin, a australian comedian, actor and musician.
To me he looks like an Anti Guru and I like it very much the speech he delivered the day he was awarded an honorary doctorate by The University of Western Australia.
My favorite part is: "Don't look for hapiness. Hapiness is like an orgasm. If you think to much on it, it never comes" :-)
