Do you suffer from Migraines?

I'm an energy therapist and am looking for someone who has regular Migraine attacks. I would like to build a case study on the effectiveness of energy therapies, such as Reiki and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and need someone who is willing to come in for 3-5 sessions.

I will provide this free of charge. All I need is your 100% commitment to try at least 3-5 sessions and to provide continuous feedback, as well as a final testimonial.

You can send me a private Msg for more details. :-)

Thanks,

Lais

Hi Laischen

I am a long-term sufferer of migraines. I have tried accupuncture, biorythm energy healing, osteopathy, homeopathy and currently am seeing a neurologist who has prescribed me some preventative drugs. So far so good. However, in my experience nothing works effectively in the long run. Everything has helped but there is no cure. I just do a lot of yoga and try to avoid triggers. I'm happy to be a test subject if you still need one.

I don't mean to be flippant (unlike catalin :-) ) but as a migraine sufferer (only twice a year, tops, lucky me) and having family & friends who are SEVERE migraine sufferers, we've found that cutting out salt, sugar, red wine (white's fine, for me!!), taking feverfew (herbal) tables and drinking litres of water, all help enormously.

But as the biggest cause is stress, a lifestyle change is the only way out.....

Good luck with your "energy therapies" but a lot of it boils down to "we are what we eat/drink/stress" and I would encourage anyone to go down the no salt/no sugar/lots of water/and chill -  route as a starting point.

Not meaning to rain on your parade, Laischen - just suggesting some tried and tested (drug/therapy free) methods.

I wish you all well (and migraine free, cos it sucks, but its avoidable and preventable - IMHO).

I suggest also to test a gluten free regime. My mum's cousin had severe migraines for years before she tried it.She still have some but it cannot be compared with what she had before. (it can make things better in a lot of illnesses) and drink water which has the less *résidu à sec* (dry residue).

Now I've got to know some people who have severe headaches due to an Arnold-Chiari malformation and were helped a lot by reiki.

I agree, diet and lifestyle are key. Also, 600 mg of magnesium a day helps too.

My migraines are of the severe variety (up to 5 in a week when things are bad). Currently the preventative medication my neurologist has prescribed has dramatically lessened the incidence (one in every 4, 5 weeks). However, as Carolyn said stress is the biggest cause and sometimes we just can't control life. I think alternative therapies are aiming to alleviate stress which then by default alleviates the symptoms as well!

I don't see "plenty of sex" anywhere on your list. Oh wait, that's why you still have them ;)

Maybe because it can, in some cases, be the cause of the migraine:

Even though I'm certain beyond doubt you could represent Romania in this particular discipline, sex with yourself doesn't count.

Hi, i am a reiki healer, and have treated a few migrane sufferers, and can attest that Reiki Healing works, short and long term. There are many causes of migrane, and i suffered with it for many years. I found out the cause for me was because of amalgam filling, and once these were changed, my migrane stopped. There are of cause many other causes, such as various types of food mixes, ie cheese and chocolate. Just my POV... :)

Re: Do you suffer from Migraines?

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions on how to avoid Migraines! I absolutely agree that by having a healthy lifestyle and diet we can avoid many illnesses in general.

However, that's not always as easy as it sounds. I suffered from heavy Migraines myself when I was a child and nothing worked, apart from Energy Therapies, such as Acupuncture or Reiki.

The Therapies I use are not only a way of deep relaxation and stress reduction, but also healing on many different levels, such as emotional, mental, physical and even spiritual levels. once we have energy congestions in our body because of stress or emotional/mental turmoil, this will cause blockages and congestions on an energetic level, which will also manifest itself as physical symptoms eventually.

By clearing these congestions and allowing energy to flow freely many symptoms can be improved drastically, if not healed completely...

As for the sex: those who talk about it the most, are the ones who have it the least ;) (--->looking at Catalin here)!

Amna, will send you a PM to ask for your email address so I can send a Questionnaire.
