When we lived in Belgium there was a lively and extremely workable offer in place through a central administration, for people wanting or offering lifts to various parts of Europe. Occasionally, we see these posted on Glocals, but would it be a good idea to have a separate section for people offering lifts, or wanting lifts to specific places.

At the time the above was in operation - it's a long time ago - the passengers paid the drivers 1 Belgian Franc per km. That's no longer valid of course, but something like 10 Euro Cents/Swiss Rappen might be appropriate. Could a new section be incorporated into the list of items available under Glocals.

Perhaps other people have experience they might like to share.

Would it be too difficult in administration matching would-be passengers with drivers?
