Do you use LPG Gas cylinders for your BBQ in Switzerland

Hi All,

I am relocating to Zurich, from Auckland, New Zealand. In New Zealand, all BBQ's use LPG gas from gas cylinders which can be refilled very easily by qualified personnel in most gas stations.

How is it in Switzerland, do you use only charcoal BBQ's or all LPG Gas? Is it possible to refill LPG gas cylinders there?

I need to decide whether to take my BBQ there or not, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated ;-)

Cheers;

Andrash

yes, here we use lpg or lbg gas cylinders. ( propane or butane ). you don´t refill them but exchange them for filled cylinders at various sales points. however, the hose connections may be different , the reduction valve etc. but yes, bring your barbie, you can always change the hose connections to fit.

also, yes, certain petrol stations on the motorway have lpg gas, again the connection valves have to fit.

so, lets throw a few shrimp on the barbie and break open  couple of tubes :-)

cheers,

roger
