Does anyone use GameCenter on the iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone?

Hi everyone,

My son and I just started playing DragonVale (*free* game) and wanted to say how much fun it is and see if anyone else is playing that or other GameCenter games.

If so, we'd like to play together, become friends on GameCenter.

My GameCenter name is reknoz (zonker was taken, damn it!) and my son's name is Nmn-b. He's almost 10.

I'll have a look at it. Might be something we could be interested (I have a 11 y/o). Right now she has a passion for minecraft, but ipod touch games are always fun also :)

On the site it says:  DragonVale is completely free to play, but it contains items which can be purchased for real money.

what is you experience with this? Is it fun without puchasing lots of "items"?

Hi there,

At the very beginning of the game, I spent $0.99 to buy some coins. There was a bug in the system and so by the time the purchase went through, my son and I both already had about 20,000 or 30,000 coins. So, yes, there is plenty to do without spending real money.

The one thing that you can't seem to get without spending real money is gems. They aren't needed in the early levels, but in later levels, they are vital. So, I might need to shell out a few bucks later on.
