Really helpful post.  I'm looking into getting a puppy this summer but do travel quite a bit so wanted to have an idea of whether there were dogsitters available in Geneva/ what costs are like.  Are you in Geneva and do you dogsit for long periods (1-2 weeks)?

Hi Claire, I'm in Geneva and 1-2 weeks isn't a problem at all.I'm not sure what others charge, but kennels are around 25 fr a day or 50 to use their dog sitting service.  I ask for 10 fr a day.

Forgot to add that I'm in Chambesy, really tranquil neighborhood with a forest just nearby :D

I also did some dog sitting in the past ! i will be in Geneva from june until the end of august ! i can come and visit your dog everyday and also take him to a walk :) can also do that for cats ! i love animals !

Are you available for dog walking occasionally during week (mid-day preferred)? I have a puppy that needs some attention and a walk mid-day occasionally when my work schedule prevents me from coming home to see her and do it myself. Just a follow-up message folks...

Andrea watched my 7 year old Labrador for more than a month, while I was out of the country. She did an excellent job! Casey was happy, healthy and clean when I picked her up. Moreover, Andrea kept us informed regularly with emails about Casey and even sent along weekly photos detailing their activities.

In short, we couldn't be happier with the service Andrea provided. And, I will surely use her again.

I am a female Belgian law student of 23 years old and currently studying and living in Geneva, Eaux-Vives. I have a lot of cats at home but enjoy dogs just as much.
