Dvorak....August, not Antonin

Just curious.... does anyone else out in glocals land use the Dvorak keyboard layout?

I learned it over 20 years ago and never looked back. It's a really cool thing and worth learning, if you don't know it.

And for any naysayers (do I hear a Nike slogan in the distance?), I was an accomplished QWERTY touch-typist before trying to change. Took about two weeks to know the keyboard by heart and a month to ditch QWERTY for good....well, except for every client I work with. ;)

So, actually, I can switch hit.

I did for about 2 or 3 weeks, and got to the point where I almost didn't find it annoying. I set my desktop background to an image of the dvorak layout so I could look up keys when necessary, but that was only half the battle: finding the letters was ok, but the funny symbols {|~ etc weren't on the diagram so that was pure guesswork. Anyway, then I got a bit drunk and decided just to switch back to qwerty until the morning. That was a few years ago now -- it's been a long night so far.
