Ear Wax Removal - Micro suction

I have a mojor ear wax blockage and require it is removed. I prefer the micro-suction/vacuum method rather than the water and syringe method. Anyone know where I can get this done?

You obviously don’t know how uncomfortable excess ear wax can be.  It’s a medical condition like countless others and needs specialist treatment.

@Sam:  if you haven’t found an ENT practitioner, you could go to one of the clinics (“permanances”).  They should be able to do whatever’sneeded.  Best, R.

I stand by my words...Foot in Mouth

I dont think glocals is a webmd....its fine to ask for an ENT etc....but I think details on bodily fluids is just a bit much as we say in the UK. Maybe I am a prude....just sharing my thoughts....seeing as we appear to be sharing ALOT in this forum any way. Undecided

I agree, but this, dear Sam, is Switzerland where almost everything is very different from the UK and especially  Bonnie Scotland.

I have purchased in local pharmacies, there are these tubes you burn at one end, and then stick the other end in your ear. Its then very slowely moves the wax out of your ear, it works. But they are not cheep. they are only avilaible from pharmacies but i recall were 2 tubes for CHF 10- but they are at all the pharmacies.

But also ask the pharmicies for any other solutions.

Like you can find also drops of mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or commercial drops in the ear

That video is a one sided video.

I think there are many home remedies and information on the internet.

So I suggest be careful with your ears, just like your eyes. If your not sure how too use a remedy yourself, see a professional. Because if your really needing help, its best to be safe than sorry.

Again, just talk with a pharmacist, they should normally have a few simple ideas and good ideas that are cheeper than a Doctor at about CHF 200- per visit. However if bad, your health/medical insurance might cover it, if it is truely a mendical condition and your having hearing problems.

If you dont get a good solution from a pharmacist or home remedies, or your not confident in either, see a professional and contact your insurance too see about your coverage.

As I want to be helpful and not just trolling/troller who just dont give any helpful ideas , like some others.

               Nul animal n'avait affaire
               Dans les lieux que l'Ours habitait ;
               Si bien que tout Ours qu'il était
               Quelque doux et discret ami.
Les jardins parlent peu , si ce n'est dans mon livre ;
               De façon que, lassé de vivre
Lui dit : Viens-t'en me voir. L'autre reprit : Seigneur,
Vous voyez mon logis ; si vous me vouliez faire
De nosseigneurs les Ours le manger ordinaire ;
Arrivés, les voilà se trouvant bien ensemble ;
               Et bien qu'on soit à ce qu'il semble
               Beaucoup mieux seul qu'avec des sots,
Rien n'est si dangereux qu'un ignorant ami ;
               Mieux vaudrait un sage ennemi.

THE BEAR AND GARDENER.

A certain highland half-licked bear,
          His fate confined within a lonely wood ;
          A new Bellerophon,* he wandered there,
Till grown a fool : Reason, 'tis understood,
Romains not with sequestered people long.
'Tis right to speak, better to hold our tongue,
But carried to excess, they both are wrong.
        No business led a beast to stray
        Where Bruin spent the weary day ;
        Bear therefore as he was, at last
        His days all slow and dreary passed.
Not far from him, a certain man in years
        Was just as sad, though free from cares.
        He, Flora and Pomona's priest,
        On gardens ever loved to feast
Delightful task, but with it I would blend
The bliss of some instructive tender friend.
Gardens, except in books, but little say---
        So that our lonely man one day
To all his silent borders bid adieu,
And to procure some friend set off from home. –
The bear, who formed the same intention too,
        Had just forsook his wood to roam,
        And, what is more surprising yet,
        Both turning round a corner met.
The man turned pale—but how retreat or pass ?
The Gascon he must act, or die an ass.
Wisely he therefore seemed of nought afraid.
The bear, at compliments but awkward, said
" Come home with me."—The man replied :
" My lord, You see my house, if you will honour me
To share the homely fare it may afford
Of fruits and milk—which, though it may not be
The food * your bristly lordships daily eat,
'Tis yours, my lord."—The bear approved the treat.
Homeward they went, good friends, along the road.
They both seemed happy in the man's abode;
           And though far better, in my rule,
           To be alone than with a fool,
As Bruin never spoke two words a day,
           The man in silence worked away.
Bruin for hunting had acquired some fame,
And every night brought home a store of game.
He also gave to flies successful chase,
And kept them from his sleeping neighbour's face.
One day his friend was in profound repose,
When one of these sat sporting on his nose.
            Bruin in vain to chase him tried :
" I'll have thee somehow or somewhere," he cried.
He said, and seized a stone, which straight he threw
Against the fly, and broke his neighbour's skull.
A clever marksman, but in logic dull :
He crushed the fly, and killed his neighbour too.
Better a foe, if wisdom be his lot,
Than make a friend of such a stupid sot.

* The common bear is frugivorous

Simple way: Take off the shower head of your shower, so you only have the pipe. Turn water to lukewarm + water. Start with low pression of water in your ear, then increase the pression a little more. It should feel strange but should not hurt. Very simple, you can do it alone...

After 45 sec to 2 minutes if should pop out. I do that every 3 years and it works 100%.

Good luck!

Hey!

We have the same problem/routine =D

Just by coincidence it's time for me to clean out as well, would you mind sharing the name of the one you went to? Are you satisified?

I'm a diver. Ear wax can be a serious problem when you're under pressure Wink

You can go to a doctor, it'll be expensive, and he'll use the "hot water + syringe" method.

You can go to a pharmacy, get a syringe, and do the "hot water + syringe" method...it'll be as effective, and a lot cheaper....

Or, what I did....I got some low temp melting plastic (Hornbach), a small aquarium hose (5mm diameter / Qualipet), removed the shower, put the small aquarium hose inside the shower hose, put the low temp melting plasting around it....let it set...and basically what I have now is a "shower to 5mm hose" adapter, and it saved many trips for divers....especially when you have an "ear wax problem" at the first day of a diving cruise in the Maldives...either you have the solution, or your trip will be very frustrating....

And BTW, ear candles are a scam, and a joke...

Ans plase do not use Q-Tips, as they'll push ear wax deeper & deeper....harder & harder to get out...
