Eddie Izzard (& many more) live in Geneva
No it is not a joke, prank or any attempt to uselessly attract your attention lol.

Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran, Tommy Tiernan, Ardan O'hanlon, Bill Bailey, Ross Noble etc will very soon (sometime in 2009-2010) perform live here in Geneva.

This huge news must widely be accredited to the formidable efforts made by pionniers like Guy Stevens with Funnylaundry or WRG (now WRS) with their comedy shows notably. This enabled british promoters to believe that there was a great scene and opportunity to exploit here in Switzerland.

Plus I can tell you from very reliable sources that Eddie Izzard's agent was actually considering producing him here. Now here's the purpose of this message. I'm a booking agent. My job consists of connecting the acts with the venues and their public.

The first part is easy. It's actually two phonecalls. The second one, however, is a real "head-scratcher". I'm fairly new to glocals and have a rather general overview of the english-community of Switzerland.

My job definition demands that I broadcast such information efficiently but the english community is so specific that normal means of communication won't work really. I'm a french speaker originally but I want to find ways to give the information directly to you guys (+ plus the ones not of glocals really). That means controlling the word-of-mouth or in other words : pubs, multinationals, Facebook etc.

Too much work (even though I know my business, be assured lol).. I rather focus on the logistic so basiclly I'm offering a job to anyone who's interested in participating in such a unique project. For now it would be unpaid (as I know exactly what I would want that person to do and that you need to know that all I did, so far, for the last 5 months was free of charge).

My criterias are :

- Fluent in French and English

- A "socialite", well connected on Facebook, glocals and the expatriate community in general, (pubs etc.)

- A genuine interest in comedy, show-business and events organisation

- Marketing knowledge (very important) and understanding of the expatriate market.

- Someone who knows the "do's and don'ts in the community". (very important)

If interested contact me directly and I will explain further more the job definition. I say job but really I just need eyes inside the "expats" world so that we don't turn into some "Opus1" style company just trying to make money off your backs.

Thank you for your attention,

Cheers,

Reginald
