Does anyone know of any actual people who carry out electrical repairs in the Geneva to Lausanne area? We have an iron which packed up recently and we think it's only something small to be replaced.

We took it to another chain of shop and they said it'd cost CHF 98 just to look at it plus repairs! The idea being we just trash it and get a new one. For a country which spends a lot of time boasting about how green it is, this really hacks me off!

I've seen the French have actively started the whole repair café service to where you bring any broken items and they're fixed. Nowadays we just bin things that probably have a few years use left in them. Anyway, if anyone does know of any shops or individuals who could do this, that'd be great.
