Electrician to change wall plug for oven

Hi there,

I just bought a new oven, but the plug doesn't fit into the wall socket (the wall socket  has 5 pins holes, my cable has 3 pins).

I read here on Glocals that I need to get an electician in to change the wall socket.

So my questions is whether anyone can recommend an electician they have used for this? Also, how big a job was it and how much did it cost?

Cheers,

Sandra

Hi,

It would be better if you go through your 'regi approved electrician' or call your regi and ask for electrician in case of fixing the oven or any unique electrical items .

Because

1.They should have the blueprint of wiring with in the appartment.

 2. If any fire hazard happens in future you will be legally safe  else regi or your insurance may use this as a escape point.

I had someone change the plug on the cooker, hence not touching the socket at all.

Unfortunately that person is no longer in Geneva, so I cannot recommend them to you, but I would think any electrician should be able to  do that.
