English Speaking Radio Amateurs?

Hi All,

Are there any English speaking, Geneva based Radio Amateurs that can answer a few questions from someone that is looking to

1. Get licensed locally
2. Find a local club where limited French is not a problem.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul

Try the USKA website in FR or EN and you will certainly find some details of amateur activity in Geneva. For example -

http://www.uska.ch/typo/index.php?id=sektionen&L=1 gives the following info:

Genève, HB9G

439.100 MHz

Case postale 112, 1213 Petit-Lancy 2. Stamm les jeudis dès 20h: école Cérésole, Ch. de la Vendée 31. Président: Joseph Castrovinci (HB9VAA), 31, Ancienne Ecole,1288 Aire-la-Ville. www.hb9g.ch

Licensing is relatively easy, assuming you have a call already, just go to the

http://www.bakom.admin.ch/themen/frequenzen/00689/01560/index.html?lang=de

page and browse in either FR or DE, download forms and so on.

I found that limited German was not a problem with the group in ZG, could guess ditto in Geneva.
