Hi Rob,

There is one in Versoix and one between Carouge and Croix de Rozon. You just have to use local.ch and search for Stand de Tir.

Cheers

Hi Roberto - I am about to check out the Versoix range sometime in the next month (I live in Bellevue so it's pretty close by) - once I make it over there I will post my experience in this thread. And do let us know if you try out any other place, finding a good practice range is important to enjoying the sport (I have a couple of .22 caliber pistols and enjoy the 25 meter 'static' variety).

Hi there, I went to St George last night to try it out. Nice facilities for pistols and upto pistol calibre carbines. There is also a 300m range next door and is next to the clay pigeon shooting club.

I thought I might go and have a look at Versoix in the next week or so. They also have a 150m full bore range which will be better for zeroing my hunting rifle on.

Let me know how you guys get on. Dare I say it, even have a beer and talk shooting?

Mike

I forwarded this post to glocals member FireMat, who's a big shot in the fire-range world. Hope he comments too.

Hi Roberto, and thanks to Nir for passing this on. If you would like to do some shooting on a regular basis then on my profile you will find the Geneva rifle and pistol club. We run courses at a range reserved for us, usually on a Sunday afternoon. As well as classic target shooting, we can also arrange more dynamic instruction as well if you wish. There is a course running this Sunday, PM me if you would like more info on what we do. Always happy to help! Mike, ref zeroing your rifle, scoped weapons aren't normally allowed on those ranges, it has to be done elsewhere....
