Fireplace Tools

Odd question I know, but: does anyone know where I could buy some fireplace tools, either in person or online for Geneva? Many thanks for any leads.

Try Jumbo Market at

Gartencenter, Baumarkt
Jumbo-Markt SA
Do It, Deco, Garden
rue des Entreprises 12, 1217 Meyrin/GE

and

Jumbo Blandonnet SA
route de Meyrin 171, 1214 Vernier/GE
022 341 40 03

Maybe they have that, but Im sure in Summer they would have it.

One of your best bets might be at a Vide Grenier in France. We regularly attend these meetings simply because they are fascinating in their variety of goods for sale. That said, there are often, at this time of year, fire tongs/dogs for sale at rock bottom prices.

Under a huge pile of rather rubbishy items for sale last summer, poking through I saw what looked like a Persian carpet. The stallholder, my OH and me removed all the stuff and there was a beautiful Bokhara! Classic design in dark red and silvery threads. How much was he asking? A princely 5.00 Euros, so we took it before anyone else grabbed it.

Good luck!
