Currently I am a fitness instructor in the U.S. but I will be moving to Geneva in February. Any information about the gyms in the Geneva would be helpful.
1. Does anyone know what the requirements or certifications are for fitness instructors in Geneva Fitness Clubs? (I might obtain more certification in the U.S. if I thought it would transfer)
2. Also, if anyone knows how much the instructors are paid per class etc. Is it typical to get free membeship to the gym if you instruct there?
3. Does anyone know the names of the gyms with spin classes and Muscle Cut/Weight classes?
Thanks.

You might consider the Swiss Red Cross to convert your certificates/diploma to the Swiss standard, its called 'equivalence.' http://www.crs.ch
Typically for personal training sessions instructors receive about 60-80 CHF per hour/session, going rates at gyms like California Fitness, and Harmony. I'm not sure whether you can train your own clients at a gym and pay a monthly fee, as is possible in the US.
