Just as I'm sitting here eating my overpriced Walkers Stem Ginger biscuits , I realised I can't be not alone in this craving for a taste from home , which can transport you back much more than sight and sounds. Who else pays over the odds for their home tastes. I'm now thinking I could easily eat a pasty now ... or Cadburys Creme Egg.

I can live without most things from home or have found substitutes here, but for Skippy peanut butter, there just is no equal. I have friends who favor Jif and as a child, Peter Pan was the end all be all, but now that I am grown, I just can't do without my Skippy. I import. And by the way, they will always, always go through the checked bag that has the peanut butter (it looks opaque on the x-ray machine and they therefore think it's semtex or something).

I'd pay almost anything to ensure that never runs out.
Can't beat bovril on toast with a milky cuppa for breakfast.
Tis a wonderful hangover cure too! ;-)

Are the things I crave the most right now! There's only a few things I would not give for a chunk of it. Talk about memories while eating some food: for a corsican guy like me, eating some of that stuff sends me back in the bush... (sigh)
My other regular craving is swiss full fat and pasteurized milk and Banania chocolate powder whenever I'm sent away somewhere in the world for a field mission.

I miss ice in my iced tea!! I know this is awful to say but I miss getting in my car in the morning and driving up to a Tim Hortons window for a coffee and a bagel with cream cheese...yum!! Does anyone know where to find bagels ici?
I miss the kind of restaurant that serves chicken wings with honey garlic sauce or BBQ ribs...this is torture!! or a chicken ceasar salade...
