Hej,

Jag visste inte det fanns svenska kontingenten här. Trevligt att dela historier!

Indeed one can never be too careful with Moose/elk/reindeer, and moose/elk/reindeer hunting. Look at the following stories:

Two years one inebriated elk in Sweden ended up attacking and killing a woman walking her dog. It became impaired and aggressive after eating too many fermented apples. Her husband was suspected of her murder until elk hair and saliva on her body...(I never in my life thought Id report a story like that)

Swedish 'murder' committed by elk **
A Swedish man arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife is cleared after police  concluded an elk was to blame.

One also has to be careful of eating reindeer flesh:

http://www.yourdiscovery.com/battle_of_chernobyl/consequences/index.shtml

The radioactive materials released, particularly the nuclides iodine-131 and caesium-137,  formed aerosols that deeply infiltrated the atmosphere. A cloud of radioactivity moved to  the northwest, initially heading towards Scandinavia. On its journey, the radioactive cloud moved through several areas of rain. The radioactive material was washed out of the air, and much like the fallout of a nuclear explosion, it covered and permeated the soil beneath. Many crops were directly contaminated; cows’ and goats’ milk was polluted indirectly through the food chain, as were fish and game (such as reindeer in Finland and elk in Sweden).

Ha en trevlig dag! Om det är någon som vill träna svenska med mig låt mig veta!

One more note...do not happen to tell the kids the story of rudolf the red-nosed reindeer (radioactive or otherwise) if you happen to be eating Reindeer/elk/moose for dinner-especially at christmas. The kid will probably not forgive you for murdering his/her chrismas hero :-(
