Free or cheap parking in Zürich?

Hi all,

some friends will visit me next week, and they want to stay 4-5 days in Zürich. They are coming by car, and I don't know where they can park the car for 4-5 days/nights without paying a lot of money. Anyone has an idea??

Best regards,

Pedro J.

Yeah, but what is your price-limit?

I only ask, to make sure you have one, beyond "free" ;-)

There is no way you will be able to park a car for free in any "public" place for multiple consecutive days in a row.

At least, not without the (high) risk of it being clamped and/or towed. And that probably costs 500 CHF upwards.

You can try finding a parking-lot somewhere outside of Zurich - but the savings will be minimal, I'm afraid.

What I found is something like this:

7 CHF per day.

I should say when I take the car to Zurich, I park it at my employer's parking-space (or in the few slots in the few rented underground spot).

It doesn't cost anything, but I can only do that on the weekend ;-)

OK, but please check with them if it's OK to let the car stay there for several days in a a row.

Unless you check via phone (or go there directly), it's only a web-page...
