Freight out of Geneva

Hi friends,

I was hoping to get some last-minute advice on one or two cheap, reliable freighting companies for transporting personal effects out of Geneva to Australia. By sea or by ship, it doesn't matter.

Looking forward to hearing your advice!

Simon

You might wanna look into freight forwarding services by logistics companies such as APL (website)? They will be reliable and as they have more sophisticated systems in place, it lowers costs.

Call DHL. They have Ocean freight.  As well as other logisitical tools in their network.

If you're shipping less than a container then it might be a good deal for you. (LCL)

If you' have enough stuff to fill a container then you might want to shop around for a better deal. (FCL)

The thing that is nice about DHL is that you know you're in good hands and they have cool online tools that let you track your shipment. Plus they work with your shedule and they have door to door service.  You don't have to mess around with customs other than filling out the initial forms or drive to some warehouse to drop off or retrieve your stuff.  I think it's worth the extra money.  But I am lazy like that.
