Fundraising fror Aussie Flood Victims at Party on 26th January

Hi,

As part of the Aussie Party on the 26th January we ("Vee" and myself) will be looking to fundraise as much cash as possible to domate to the Aussie Flood Victims.  We will dontane to the national appeal.

The bar where the party will take place will donate 1chf from every drink sold, however we would like to do much more.

If anyone has some good suggestions on how we can really make the night into a cash raising bonanza please let me know.

Thanks

I'd happily pledge an amount for NOT having to french kiss some of the dodgy glocal guys!  Bluuuuurrrrgggghhh.  And the thought of "triple for dot dot dot" makes me run for the hills!

But a lovely initiative, Clint.  Really good idea, but unfortunately I can't make it.Cool

@ Carolyn.."dodgy" ...LMAO.... I am very misunderstood..

@ Vish... of course one should do ones best.

@ Clint... why not ask Nir and Oded... if they can tag a small amount onto any buy club deal for the next deal or get the next marathon runners from here to get some sponsorship per KM, ... at the party you can get some to dress up and fund raise on the streets in oz outfits at the weekend

Cool ideas to start with and Charlie I am not wanting to dump this on you, however if you think that there is some cash to be raised through any kind of kissing idea sure sounds like a winner to me.

Robi, happy to think through the pin idea with you

Caroline, happy to try and think about how you can pledge some cash without being there...

Thanks for your ideas and please keep them coming

Ok.. just throwing these out there...

a) koala-head pins and/or stickers at 2 francs each;

b) some way to sign up to buy great Autralian wines /or beer with a few francs added on to purchase price of each bottle and/or case;

c) borrow a karaoke machine and charge a few francs per song;

d) silent auction of donated Australian art and/or photos;

e) charge 5 francs per photo for picture with giant cut outs of Kylie Minogue, Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Hugo Weaving, and PM Gillard with an Aussie backdrop...

Thanks for your efforts; hope your firiends and relatives are safe...

Oh and a way, for example for people to donate enough money to say they were able to buy specific items neede for flood victims.  So for example:

4 people giving 25 francs each buys a tent, x amount buys a cot and so on...

And of course, there is always the old spare change jar...peole can "change" the course of the flood's effect by donating their coins...

Hey Clint.

Guess how many lollies in the jar (like at the primary school fete...he he he)

Bake sale (Gay, but about as Australian as you can get...!!)

Donation for face painting

Silent auction - I can organise to get some items to auction off?

Charging for karaoke??? Clint will be broke ;)

Such a shame this will be in Geneva, not in Zurich.

But I guess my duty would be rather to fund raise for the flood victims in Brazil instead...

What's wrong with this world? The climate has definetely gone crazy... :-(
