The exhibition celebrates the friendship between Pablo Picasso and the American photographer David Douglas Duncan. In 1956, Duncan was a war photographer for Life magazine when he met Picasso in his villa La Californie in Cannes.
This exceptional exhibition creates a dialogue between some 150 photographs taken from 1956 to 1973 and as many works by Picasso, thus enabling the visitor to dive into the intimacy of Picasso’s work and research, through a variety of media, such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing and engraving.
