Hello Glocals,

After years of thinking it's probably a good idea to learn German, I am finally in the mood to give it a try.

Unfortunately, since my German is non-existent the normal "My Quechua for your Xhosa" kind of exchange doesn't really work. I need somebody who knows the rules of the language and is good at explaining them.

Group lessons also bore me to death so that is out.

Now the question is: do you know a good private german teacher for total beginners? it would be good if the price is reasonable too (although I am willing to spend more if the classes are well prepared).

I was thinking of having one or two hours per week. Basically to ask questions and get homework. Please note I was trained as an engineer, very methodical explanations usually work better than guessing games.
