IKEA isn't always the cheapest - they just sell a lot of cheap stuff that you don't actually need (never, ever, grab a yellow bag for the "marketplace" - it IS the work of the devil!).
Coop have good/cheap offers and their sister store, Tiptop or Toptip (can never remember which) also have some good deals.
Just remember to buy Swiss - keep our taxes down :-)
Actually there IS a shop in Lausanne - just up fromPlace St Francois called something weird like "home bizarre" - same side of the road - sells LOADS of cheap, home stuff - including "linen" . Will google and come back.....

I think its around Rue du Lion d'Or or its on ave du theatre - but its a FAB shop and dead cheap - a bit like "poundbusters" in the uk - but nicer! Good luck! xx
