Going out in Lausanne

Would anyone know where I can take a visiting Kiwi out in Lausanne? I had grand ideas about doing the Lavaux, Mont Pelerin etc, but time restraints mean that we will have to stay in Lausanne. I haven't been out there in years so have no idea where to go. (this is the beer drinking boss of a kiwi friend of mine so NOT going to MAD or something)
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Elin, boat trip is great, but the olympic museum is also great and there is a great photo museum next too it. At the university building at Ripone is there a great minerals expo and sometimes great art. And Heritage..if i spelled the name right has always somthing nice to offer in art.

Resturants here is not the best offer, but the braserie at palace is good, next to the the old castle/hotel in Oucy is there a great teresse, and an Italian resturant with a great teresse, just between the castle and the Palace hotel.

For the beer side, try the pur in flon if the sun is schining,, and there is a great almost australian bar at the plato a bit up next to the Ripone university you can also try out the LP bar at Palace, exelent service..even for a glass of beer;  a visit to the rolex learning centre is simply great arcitecture, or a walk in old sct prex as well as the cathedrale and the old streets up to the castle. Nightlife for "grown ups" is zinc just across the BCV main building.

Your name sounds Danish or Norvegian, ...i am danish too :) there is lots to enjoy dont panic

Tusen takk Alex. Norsk :)  I am only going to meet him at 19.00 so not sure how much I will managed to do. Think I will try to find one of those bars and or restaurants instead of rushing around.  Thank you so much again both of  you
