Good hair stylist for women?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good hairstylist in the Vevey, Lausanne, Geneva area?  It's always a little nerve-racking going to someone new for the first time :)

Thanks!

Susan

I like the Hair Spa by Aveda in the Lausanne Palace. They offer a great service: they don't take several customers at the same time so the hairdresser is totally dedicated to you. You get free hand massage and tea and it's also opened on Sundays. Price is not excessive. Check the link:http://www.lausanne-palace.com/en/spa_bien_etre/hair_spa/index_static.php?idIndex=165&idContent=446

Tel: +41(0)21 331 3131

For English speaking heardresser, ask for Guillaume.

Toni&Guy is always good, a bit on the pricey side, but I have never gotten a bad haircut there. And they speak English which helps when you are trying to explain what you want :-) glocals used to offer a 15% coupon, not sure if they do it anymore but you might want to check.

Thanks so much Izzie! I am so  happy to have read your post. I used to go to the Aveda salon in Geneva, but am not happy with the haircutting there. So will definitely try Aveda in Lausanne!

Carlo at RLab - Place des Eaux-Vives 1. He's great.

I personally did have bad experiences with Tony&Guy and they are way overpriced in Geneva.

I am happy to be of any help! Wink

I am a gal who totally understands how important a good hairdresser is... I have experienced so many haircut nightmares!

When I find a good hairdresser, you can be sure he or she gets the message! I tend to praise and tip them well!!!

Thanks for the link, Izzie - I was expecting the Aveda prices to be through the roof, but they really are good!!  Booking in for a facial :-)

I also have a great hairdresser - courtesy of another glocals - Nicole at Chez Maxim in Lausanne, 2 mins below the station on Avenue D'Apples - www.chezmaxim.com 021 616 59 91.  Speaks fluent English - lived in New York for 20 years so she says it like it is - but she's a brilliant hairdresser.  A long haired cut = 79CHF - long hair cut + full colour =135CHF or 180CHF for cut + two-tone highlights.

You can nearly always get in on a Saturday morning and she's quick - wash, cut and blow dry in 30 mins.
