I think it would be appropriate for the administrators of this site to limit the size of some groups. I find overtly depressing and unfair that some members of groups can virtually never participate in some events organized by that group, simply because the size limit of the event is less than 10% of the amount of members in that group. I do not think anyone can afford sitting behind the computer 24/7 just in order to sign up for an event with a limited amount of space. I understand the reasons for limiting the events, but this seems to be endemic. Therefore, I think it would be better if groups are forced to organize events with at least 50% open slots compared to the number of members they have.

and therefore that the membership be limited. Another idea could be to make the participation rotational, so that all members have a chance to participate. For example, members who have not yet participated in an event have priority over others for signing up...Perhaps all this is just too restrictive; these are just suggestions.
