I use Silhouette gym chain and fairly happy with it. My local one (Wilson) doesn't have the best of facilities (its a bit small and crammed), but they're definitely good enough. They have better and newer branches scattered around town (maybe go and check out your local branch) and with a standard pass you can use any club. To be honest I would have expected slightly better quality from my local branch for the prices. Having said that, I think I don't think I'm overpaying because I usually go 5 times a week and mainly do classes (which are often quite expensive if not part of a gym membership).

All in all, I do recommend Silhouette. Hope this helps :)

Also used Sillhouette for years, always found trainers and professors good. Used both Wilson and Alpes, last one is def. better for machines/musculation. But for classes, both are really good. Price is really OK (i used to pay 900/year), and had absolutely no problem cancelling the contract when I needed.
