Holmes Place has a bit of a bad reputation, not only because of their intransparency regaring pricing. I know of no other gym in Switzerland, that does not list their prices...

Silhouette didn't list their prices when I signed up.  They sometimes run specials where they do, but most of the time you have to talk to someone to get pricing.

I would not recommend Holmes Place, they lied to me about the notice period for getting out of my contract, in the end I managed to get a friend to take over my membership, thankfully!  They have had issues with items being stolen fromt he changing rooms too.

Most of the fitness clubs do not show their pricing (silhouette, california, plazza sport, starling wellness) you always have to go there to get it.

Concerning the membership, you have to be carefull of the automatic renewal clause, I did the experience with Silhouette and  I wasn't really happy to be stuck for another 3 months, especially when during vacation..., further to that I always removed this clause when signing the contract.

Some clubs like plazza sport don't use this automatic renewal clause.

Holmes is also quite expensive.
You better check other gyms s like Harmonie, Silhouette and California

I think one of the reasons they dont publish the price is also that they always have special offers and also if you negotiate they can make you  discount on spot.

I've also heard bad reviews of Holmes Place but, frankly, I'm even not particualry that happy with Silhouette either (both in Lausanne & Gva).

The main problem with Silhouette is that is dirty, specially the changing rooms. In few of the location here in Gva you have to wait to take a shower because only 2 can run at the same time... I mean... Hello???!! Huston??!! .. I've talked to a member of the gym and she said that people's complains are totally ignored. So, here we go.

I've only choosen Silhouette because they are a bit everywhere and I have discount with my company.

My suggestion is to do a free-trial in all the one you are interested so you can have a personal judge and then enroll to the less-worst one ;-)

In case you live in Lausanne I strongly suggest you Equilibre Fitness, is in Montchoisi, and a part of their competence and service, the place is clean, uncrowded, much cheaper than all others and .. 24/7.   I'd move back to lausanne only for that gym <3
