OK this is serious. I'm at my desk, everyone thinks I'm writing a clever strategy plan, I sip my coffee and gaze intently at GoL!
I'm doing it again!
It's not funny! I like the forums. I like logging in and seeing who wrote me, who is organizing something, Julian's latest rant, Hoiling's split personality, which parties I missed (for better or for worse).
In fact, GoL is beginning to be like a soap opera, where I have to know the latest:
What happened over the week-end?
How should I cycle in this risk fraught city?
Why do older GoLers pick on the little ones?
Who is the Spammer (we know it's Julian...)
Please reassure me that I will get over this initial zeal for my new hobby and things will calm down.
How do y'all keep from getting fired? How do you continue to produce enough work to not feel guilty and bring your lap-top home (and leave it in the sack) for the week-end.
Give me some pointers GoLs Anonymous!

it's my split personality.Half of it is working quite productively, the other half is on GOL posting away. Nah, jokes aside, i tend to check GOL when i have my 10mint break to get some water, or more often when i am in conference call when i alreayd know the content and just 'have to be there' .. you know the usual multitasking.

Hi Mary, I know you will be reading this shortly as you can't keep off. It is addictive, but at least calorie free, so one less guilt trip. It is like a soap opera , although actually I think the plots have change recently, but we still have the most of the same characters.
I use the excuse to myself that this is my smoke break , but a cancer free one. And the site isn't as bad as some sites I could visit.
So enjoy the break from the job, and you will go back refreshed to work on the next problem.

OK I believe all of you, it's just your smoke break or the coffee break....
All my creative juices are flowing on GoL and then I turn back to my dull dry document and do not feel inspired.
If only my company would pay me to do THIS.
Or, better idea, if only GoL would hire me and pay the same salary with a car and traveling expenses....
What do you think?
