Good news but i think if someone is drinking nothing else its fine to pay for tap water as restaurants also make some money with drinks.

Some restaurants won’t even sell you tap water, they force you to buy bottled water (a certain Brazilian restaurant in Rue de la Servette, under new management so not sure what the new owners do) refused us tap water despite having consumed a lot of caipirinhas & wine which is despicable.
