I've had a big clear out and would like to try to sell some of my things at a troc or a second hand market. Does anyone know of a good one? I know about the one in Nyon, how would I go about getting a table or permission to sell things at it?
Thanks

Have you considered selling them on WRS radio or here on glocals? It works. By the way, do you have a clic-clac and hangers?

I have put some of my furniture on, but have A LOT of clothes and jewellery to sell! Would work best at a troc I think. Only thing I don't have is a clic clac and hangers, it seems I have everything else though!
Thanks for your help.

If you go to the Plainpalais flea market Saturdays or Wednesdays, you'll see two civil policemen (they look the same as those putting tickets on parked cars) checking for licenses of those holding stands.
Ask those fellows how a temporary license is procured. Otherwise, check out the official website:

Best of luck ChickenFrog,

Do you have a desk? (Still trying...!)

On a similar note, is there somewhere one can donate clothes to homeless/needy people in central Geneva?
I need to have a clear out of things I don't need, but would rather give them to a shop that will sell them for charity, or who will give them to a homeless person than just throw them away...
Thank you

Hello James,
there are used clothes collection bins (see links) around Geneva called "Boites à fringues". The City then distributes the contents amongst Caritas, the Red Cross and other organisations. The clothes should be placed in tied-up plastic bags. Hope this info helps ;D
