Before getting a dog! Look around! see your lifestyle! your schedule! if you are really ready to have a dog. Getting a dog means you are making a commitment for next 10 to 15 years.

Getting a dog is not complicated as much! most of the work will be done by the breeder! passport, micro chip, dog vaccination. vaccination card etc..

If this is your first dog! yes you have to do theoretical dog awareness course! and yes it obligatory!

Also you need to have a Proof of civil liability insurance. For the course you don't need to find really an English speaking person! just find a course in french and seriously till the end you will understand almost everything!

You have to do a dog practical course with the dong within first year and try to contact with Société Canine Genève they will find you the right person.

Best of luck for getting your first dog!

which breed you have decided?
