Hi,
I'm experiencing some problems with my Mac: it runs slow and has problem connecting with the printer.
Is someone willing to help me?
I live in the Vevey area
Thanks in advance,

Fiorella

Have you tried the Apple store in Geneva? If you book an appointment they might be able to help you for no charge even if your Mac is no longer under guarantee.

Hi Roger,
the printer is wireless and apparently when I manage to print out something, then I loose the connection.
thanks

Is that an ancient one?? I should say it by the 4G capacity, but Inter Core 2 Duo is not so old as processor. Do you know the Operating System? MacOS X10 or something?
Although not an expert in informatics, I'm Mac use since longtime ago, and in my humble opinion you should increase the memory.

4GB is fine for most every day tasks, that is not the issue.
if 4Gb is RAM memory I agree with you, but if it is hard disk capacity... not so sure

Nothing to do with the HDD... read the specs.
sorry, I just read "memory"... forget it
the problem sounds like wi-fi related.
the mac is not slow, it's the internet -wi-fi connection.
you may have to reset the router ( turn off and on ) also turn off and on your mac and retstart your wi-fi printer.
your mac is probably not the problem at all.
when you are connected to the router, it gives you a channel ( 2-11) if a channel gets to busy, your router "should" change channels for a less busy one.
this can happen at different times of the day. usually after 5pm. now that school has started again the internet is probably quite busy at these times and bandwidth is getting limited.

I'd first check for updates from apple, just because you should anyways.
Then for the printer.. I'd be looking at either the printer software, is new version available from vendor?? Maybe a recent apple update doesnt play nice with the old print software?
Still disconnecting after that, maybe your wi-fi router, power it off/on update firmware?
Then apple store after that, let them try, but they might wanna see the issue including the printer
