Can anyone please recommend a fabric (to stitch clothes) store and I'm also looking for a audio equipment store to buy mics.
thanks

What are you looking for exactly?
A shop that will repair your clothes? Or a tailor who will make a garment for you?
For repairs, try your nearest dry-cleaning outlet. Most of them offer a repair service. Otherwise, look for someone offering “retouche” service.
For bespoke tailoring, there’s Raj Mipouri – see glocals special offer. Otherwise, a trip home might be cheaper.
As for fabric shops, there are only a couple of these left in Geneva and they never undertook “stitching” anyway.
Best, R.

Unfortunately this stores are CRAZY expensive. It's definitely not worth it in Geneva - I might recommend looking in France for fabric stores... I spent 76 CHF on 1.5 yards of a black jersey knit... it wasn't even a nice one :(.

Michelle is right. The prices for fabrics in Geneva are incredibly steep – and always have been, even in the days when there was a choice of such shops in town.
My advice is to buy in France. Lyon, of course, is the very best place to go but nearer home Annecy has a good selection and I think that you can still find one or two small shops in Annemasse.

There is a store with basic fabrics - dress and shirt cottons etc, furnishing fabric and haberdashery, called Mondial Tissus in Annemasse. It is very large! Google is your friend.
