Help - I signed an apartment lease starting tomorrow, but owner won't let me move in!

The kitchen isn't complete yet and he says it won't be for another month.  So they are not letting me move into the flat tomorrow even though I have a signed lease for Nov 1st.  They told me this TODAY.

What is my next move?  I have my current apartment until Nov 15th, so at least I have a place to sleep.  But is there some place I can file a complaint?  This came as quite a surprise so any advise would be appreciated.

Mate, whatever action you take, ensure it is on Paper and file it. From previous experience, phone calls dont mena nothing unless backed up by a Written letter.

i had a similar case and the send someone round every few days to fix this and that. It is not right as i had to take hours off work to open the door for them.

review your contrat and use specific clauses in your argument, they will then back down and at the very least  pro rate the rent.
