Help with XAMPP installation

Hi everyone,

Can someone, please, help me, perhaps, a "techie" from India?  I am trying to make XAMPP work but FileZilla isn't cooperating.  On the XAMPP control panel Apache, MySql and Mercury are RUNNING, but not FileZilla.  When I click on START it returns Busy...

Then, a message saying,  ERROR: FileZilla FTP must be run

Question:  Isn't FileZilla installed when XAMPP is installed?  And, when XAMPP is executing shouldn't this automatically execute FileZilla?

If this is not the case, should I install FileZilla separately and run it separately?

Your help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks

i am not exactly sure, haven't seen xampp since a long but the problem seems like service is not being installed or not being run. I am assuming you host machine is windows. Follow Commands

Run

services.msc ===>  Find the FileZilla service ==>Double Click===>Startup type==> Automatic===> See the service status it would be stop, so Click the start button it should work.

If it doesn't work forget it. instead of wasting your time just install it separately and mount the folders to the specific user name/Web Directory.

By the way, are you building a webserver at your local machine? if you are doing this. Not a good idea at all..

I agree with Brad, the main advantage of xampp is to get the apache/php/mysql stack integrated into widows. If you need an FTP server (filezilla) just install it manually.
