Help with maths-percentages?
Please can someone answer the following?  My working hours per week are 41hrs (100%). If I work 7 hours less per week my employer tells me I shall be working at 80%. Is my employer correct?!!  I would be grateful if someone could answer before Monday as I my salary will change too!

Regards,   Claire

Hi Claire, TECHNICALLY, you would be working at between 81 - 82 percent, but not a figure you would be necessarily be detailed with, so he has chosen the closest percentage allowable ie; 80 %

If you want to know HOW MUCH YOUR SALARY IS GOING TO BE?

Take your CURRENT SALARY....DIVIDE IT BY 100, then with the figure you, have MULTIPLY ( X ) it by 80 .......This will then give you a very close idea to your NEW 80% working Salary
