Hiring taxi at Geneva airport

Do I need to do a booking for taxi in advance or I can hire a taxi at the airport itself upon arrival.

Thanks folks

There is a taxi line waiting outside, its really easy. But trust me that the cost ofr a taxi is very expensive. And they charge per person and per luggage.

I don't know where you are going to but Geneva's Public transit is very good (check it out at www.TPG.ch) You can take busses into the city, or there a train from the airport's train station dirrectly to Cornavin, Geneva's main train station - the ride is only 6 min!

Taking public transport is by far the cheapest way (and sometimes fastest) way to get around.

From the airport you can get a free public transport ticket for Geneva that lasts 80 minutes. Check the machines next to baggage belts 3 & 5.

For those who are not aware the public transport ticket is also valid on the train to Geneva - you do not have to take the bus

Unless you live near Cornavin you're anyway going there by public transport, and you can use the same ticket to hop on the train to reach the airport. So it doesn't cost anything extra.
