Holiday - Marseille - France (need advice) :)

HELLOOOO GLOCALS

I'm going to Marseille/France next month (short holiday weekend with the boys)

I know that there are some French glocals maybe from Marseille itself, can you please give me tips/hints - best places to visit, good bars, clubs, restaurants, activities maybe :) local information is much appreciated

Thank you for reading and maybe helping me out :P

NICE DAY!!

You'd recommend the beautiful walks from Cassis, a little harbour in the east of Marseille, in the Calanques and Cap Canaille the highest maritime cliff in Europe:

You took the words right out of my mouth ;)

And it looks indeed as beautyful as on the photo you posted. Sigh...

You can visit Hyeres and if interested in para sailing or para gliding, it is very much there.. Toulon is a good place to see and have good food n pubs alongside the sea..similar to Marseille.

How about sharing your holiday experience and letting us know what you preferred when you get back Cool

One or two photos would be cool too (not necessarily babes on the beach although that may please the male crowd out there Wink)

Adrian, if I can give you some advice, don't miss:

1. Le Vieux Port, the heart of Marseille. For me, the most beautiful place at Marseille. There, you will also find a lot of bars, restaurants and a club "Le Trolley Bus" (I was used to go there, my favorite club, but some years ago... hope it's still open!)

2. Notre Dame de la Garde, the symbol of Marseille. It's a church at the top of an hill. Climb there and you will embrass a lovely view from Marseille.

3. Vallon des Auffes, a lovely port

5. La Corniche: a road which follows the coast and brings you to the beach

6. Les Calanques (Marseille and Cassis): amazing!

7. Take a train from Marseille to Ensues La Redonne (train de la Côte Bleue): one of the most beautiful route by train since you follow the coast and see wonderful landscapes (30 min). Make a stop to Niolon and Ensues La Redonne and you will find beautiful creeks to swim!

And if you have time, go to Aix en Provence, a lovely city close to Marseille too, appreciated by tourists.

But I think you will need more than one week-end to do that:-))) Anyway, I'm sure you would like to go back after a first visit. Enjoy your holidays!
