I want to have a meaningful and restful Holy Week 2012. Any ideas what/where I could d0/go just around Switzerland/France/near Switzerland,
or where I could join a retreat?
I don't want to go to crowded places but the place has to have a church or Holy Week service. Either Catholic/Protestant. It would be great if the retreat/service is in English, but it would be ok if not.

I can suggest Sils Maria in Engadin, but there are also other places e.g. http://www.myswitzerland.com/de/kraftorte.html then click on the area you would like to visit.

What about Einsiedeln in Kanton Schwyz? The most wonderful, spiritual place in CH [IMHO] which really brings you back to what Holy Week is all about. Easter services are absolutely packed though, with standing room only, but it is a truly wonderful experience in this most superb of Benedictine Abbeys.
