Hey :)
So i got the TV, connected it to the antenna (i think, its just a socket on the wall), and i cannot receive anything. Do i call some company to set it up or something? I think i have cable included in the rent (not sure though). Any ideas what to do?
Thanks :)

Check with your regie. The TV plug may have been disconnected if your predecessor did not subscribe to cable TV.

Ok done that as well. The regie confirmed that i pay for cable and Naxoo confirmed as well. So this question will sound really stupid. How Do i do the connections? I have the wires and two people checked that is connected correctly but still no picture. So i must be doing something wrong. I got the TV from Interdiscount. If i call them will they help or will they laugh at me (like you people are doing right now :P)?

Maria,
1st, do you have another socket in another room you can try? If not...
Get an electrician (www.directories.ch yellow pages) to come and do the correct connection. Ask how much it might be (CHF per hr) before you agree.
Good luck,
Patrick

If I were you, I'd call Interdiscount. It usually is fairly straightforward to hook up a TV, and it sounds like you have been doing everything you should (including calling the Regie, the cable company and having someone check how you hooked up the cables). There could be a problem with the television set itself.
Good luck!

Thanks again for your replies. Ok i had some time to check the TV and i made a rundown of the wires in case anything helps: (i am starting to imagine what is wrong but until it is finally fixed i am not saying anything)
The TV has an output antenna socket (male) and an input (female). I connected the wire to the female socket and then it should go to the plug on the wall. Right? Now the wall plug has a female and male socket. The male has a cable on which i imagine is for the cable signal. So if i connect the female socket to the other end of the cable connected to the TV it should work right?

Hello,
a TV has, TTBOMK, no video-output. Only sound. The "male" plug in your wall is for radio, I think...
According to this:
https://www.microspot.ch/microspot/product/LCD-TV/0000279894/94_cm_16:9_LCD-TV_Thomson_37_M61NF21_Full_HD_/detail.jsf;jsessionid=1CF3AE1C208A73D5DA6F25FED213A9CF?current=3
you've got "2xHDMI/2xScart/PC/VGA in/YUV/A/V"
I'm no cable-expert - but don't you need some kind of STB (set-top-box) to view cable?
Regards,
Rainer
