went shopping... went to Caves Ouvertes... went to Hobbes' 100 friends party... slept in... now going for a walk...

my weekend was one of the best ever :) Spent fridays with a bunch of friends chilling and eating ... slept long on sat and then went with friends to 'cave-ouvertes' hunting :) ... with all that free wine tasting involves (singing loud anyone??) ...
then went to watch the Eurovision like the good honorary Finn that I am, voting and celebrating that Finland ended the competition above Sweden! (YAY!!)
Hope you manage to get out of the office soon!!!

long time! drinks on friday and then tree climbing on saturday, doing hardcore black courses to get rid of any sexist prejudices some of the guys had ;-) !! followed by drinks on sat night and then shakers which was a real blast - so nice to see soo many familiar faces... followed by an after party and then drunken antics involving putting no parking signs in lifts... ended up at a classy hotel in paquis where we harrassed the room service until they got us our free continental breaky, and then eventually rolled home at 8.30am and had to explain to my host dad and kids why i was going to bed...

.. of this attitude you seem to have towards Sweden.. Anyway, is it the general opinion about Sweden in Finland, or is it just the italian mafia trying to induce some hostilities in the northern countries (and then blame it on the russian mafia, whom they are obviously bitter enemies with..)?

Thank heavens it's not a puppy or it would have suffocated in its case in my bedroom. Poor thing. No gentle hands to caress it, no coffee spills to inspire a short circuit, no hot breath breathing on the empty screen trying to write something clever.
Well I brought it back with me to the office and it seems mollified for the moment.

Twas a great weekend!
Dined like a champion at Le Pirate on Saturday and worked it off at softball on Sunday.
Can hardly walk today so happily plugging away at the PC.
It's a short working week too so lots to smile about! ;-)

To make it short:
Friday night, dinner out with my guitar teacher and a dozen fellow students. Later on, a great jam session with lots of his friends, colleagues, etc. I left "early" around 3:00am.
Saturday morning: meeting at 9:45 with some car less monkeys to go tree climbing. Great time together putting ourselves in challenging situations, collecting nice memories, pictures, bruises or even falls for some of us. Then short but nice relaxing picnic (cf picture gallery and feedback forum for more details).
Saturday night, private party at my place to celebrate my one hundred's friend on my network. We were (fortunately for my neighbors) less than 100. But it was very friendly, relaxed and, for once, with a real mix of people from various "gangs": tree climbing gang, GOL dinosaurs gang, music gang, usual suspects gang, etc. We then proceeded to Shakers to meet some more friends of even more gangs. A great time as usual... even if I started feeling a bit tired around 3ish.
Yesterday, no time to sleep in. I've taken my boat out of the water to paint it with the help of... 11 people in total, incl. several GOLers. Thanks again Teppu, Tinkie, Chelsea Nanou & friends. It was a bit tricky at first as I had never done it before, but we managed to take it out, clean it, paint it and put it back in the water in one - 6 hours long - afternoon. All that in a real non stop rush for me, but with a nice athmosphere anyhow. Lucky me, I've really great friends !
For all that, I was dead and starving. I vaguely remember having met Hoiling, Urs, Khaled, Lazz and some more GOLers on my way to grab a bite at Bains des Paquis... but my brain was too low on sugar to be sure of it. I just adored my dinner there and was on the verge of crying when I swallowed my first bite. A even more satisfying powerful shower later, and I was in bed by 22:00 for an 11 hours night !
For all that, I've spent a great weekend with lots of amazingly nice people, and on top of that my boat is ready to take some more GOLers sailing as of today. I am just wondering... how were my weekends like before GOL ?
