Husky Sledding

Hi,

Does anyone know a good place to do the husky sledding? Preferably in Jura as coming from Nyon.

Ive checked with "Team Nature at St Cergue" and the website is showing that the season is fully booked.

My parents are over this weekend and would have liked to take them to experience something new.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Emma,

I had the same problem and rang 1million places at the last minute. The people we went with were skisskimos. The track wasnt awfully long and it was incredibly foggy the day we did it, but still a good experience and the man actually lives in a Igloo with his girlfriend over winter which you can see. It was the cheapest i found too at 70CHF for 30 mins.

The guy doesnt speak too much english though so if you speak German it would help a lot. If you need help with translation let me know!

Hi Katherine,

Thanks for your response. Where is this place, I'm assuming in the German part?

I don't speak any German although I could translate the page if need be!

Thanks, according to Mr meteo there will be snow in St Cergue the next couple of days, so that would be perfect as they are not here for that long so don't want to spend half the time travelling.

Will check the time to drive to Diablerets.

Thanks again

Emma, it was in Adelboden. We stayed overnight in Grindelwald for some down fondue at the top of a mountain then sledding down at night time and some glühwein at the bottom. Then the next day drove to Adelboden for the sledding. I would totally recommend the trip like this! The sledding track was a little boring, but that could have been because of the fog! But still was an awesome trip! you can also go past gruyere which is definately worth a stop!

Maybe the others have availabilty but when i tried to go a few days before every place was compeltely booked out other than this one!

Sure of course that's what I am doing! I just wanted to see if any one could suggest a particular place nearby, or had experienced it.

Thanks for your info, France could also be another option :)

Unfortunately over night stays are not in the budget, but that trip sounds awesome!

It's a last minute thing so guess I may be out of luck unless we drive a little further.

I found this as well but the site states that the longest track in the Jura is 1 km.  Doesn't sound very exciting
