Hello Everyonone,
I'd like to get your opinion on the following idea.
I m a real music addict but sometimes find myself a little bit short when it comes to find some new sources of good sounds.
So basicly I'd like to organize "I-Pod night sessions" with the GOL members in order to get ideas of what kind of music is being played around the world, and where everyone could be a DJ for a night.
What do you think of that?
I'd like to do this with people who have interest in alternative music, from Classical to electro, as long as we do not fall into cheesy commercial music but of course people with other interest should be free to organize their own little "I-Pod night session".
Ok looking forward to hearing your feedback/ideas.

i have been to ipod nights several times, it always was fun.
they gave you a short brief what music would be ok and everybody had the chance to create a on-the-go playlist. after that you would mark your ipod and give it to the dj. he would check your playlist and mix it in.

doing this at somebody's place. Everyone brings his I-Pod and can play his favorite tunes for 15-20 mns for example.
To accompany this with beers or wine sounds like a good idea!
I also think that defining a style is quite important so that we are sure that everybody is kind of interested (although some place for improvisation should be left open, I like surprises lol).

Hey --
In case you don't know this already, there are iPod DJ nights at the Moloko bar at Usine. I have the March schedule in front of me right now, and the last one was on March 9. Probably a monthly thing....
